This award will honor a nonprofit organization that has developed a clear, inspiring and achievable vision for the future, developed collaborative partnerships, demonstrated that the vision connects to community needs and priorities, and made measurable progress towards achieving that vision.
The winner of the Taos Community Foundation – Nonprofit of the Year Award will receive a $5,000.00 grant to continue their work in the community.
Nomination guidelines:
Nominations will be considered for eligible non-profit organizations that have operated for at least three years in Taos and western Colfax counties.
For the purposes of this award nomination, an eligible nonprofit organization is defined as an IRS approved tax exempt 501(C)3 organization in good standing with the State of New Mexico.

Who can nominate an organization?
Board members, staff members, supporters, and community members. Nominators will be asked to provide their name and contact information.
Winning this award does not prevent an organization from applying for or receiving other grant awards from Taos Community Foundation.

Each organization will be represented once in the pool of nominations, and this award is not decided by number of submissions. While we encourage all eligible organizations to apply, it is important to note that multiple submissions to an organization do not increase the likelihood of winning.
