Community Against Violence
"CAV’s mission is to foster and support a community free from all forms of domestic and sexual violence."
Community Against Violence (CAV), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), started in 1978 with two groups of women who began a volunteer hotline and provided crisis intervention out of their homes for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The two groups eventually merged and formed Community Against Violence.
Community Against Violence (CAV) provides free and confidential professional services to child and adult survivors of sexual and domestic violence, including child and elder abuse. Over the years, CAV programs were developed to meet the needs of the community, such as advocacy, case management services, safety planning, counseling, parenting classes, housing, and much more.
