Golden Willow Retreat
"Golden Willow Retreat is your sanctuary of solace, a non-profit dedicated to promoting healthy grieving by empowering people impacted by all forms of loss. We honor your journey with compassion and support."
Golden Willow Retreat is an emotional healing sanctuary where clients dealing with all types of emotional distress from any type of loss come to work on healing from the loss while empowering themselves to grow, and improve their quality of life. Individuals, couples and families spend from 3 to 14 nights at the retreat center in Arroyo Hondo, NM, working one-on-one with our therapists on their path toward healing. Therapists at GWR focus on an emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual healing process. Modalities such as one on one therapy, education, massage, yoga and meditation are part of each client’s stay. Treatment is individualized to best serve client needs while allowing for the highest level of healing to occur during their time at the retreat center.
Aside from our work at the retreat center, GWR works to impact Taos and Northern New Mexico. We offer an ongoing Grief Group, where people dealing with grief come together to talk through their experiences and to assist each other in the healing process. GWR also hosts ceremonies for the community, from baptisms to funerals and weddings. Beyond this, we offer our therapeutic services to schools and local organizations any time there is a loss. From school shootings to workplaces losing a colleague, the GWR team are always available to the community to help them work through the grieving process, and to offer support to community members who may be struggling.
